Predicting stroke risk with AI

Written by Lucy Chard (Future Science Group)

New research suggests that artificial intelligence (AI) could be used to predict atrial fibrillation-related stroke risk in patients.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a cardiac arrhythmia that poses several health risks and can lead to stroke and death.

A collaboration of scientists from Geisinger (PA, USA) and the technology company Tempus (Chicago, IL, USA) have found that AI can be used to predict the risk of AF and stroke by studying electrical signals.
